The basics of the matter, as they appear in your file.
Part Two
Attorney Questionnaire
Write the way you'd talk. Fragments are fine — this is raw material for the story, not a filing.
1. In one sentence, what is this case about?
2. What happened — who, what, where, when, and how?
3. Who is at fault, and what evidence — physical, testimonial, or documentary — supports it?
4. Key witnesses — names and what they saw. Were police or emergency services called? Any citations or charges?
5. Describe your client at your first meeting — appearance, demeanor, emotional state, where you met.
6. What are the client's injuries and lasting impact — physical, emotional, economic? What can they no longer do?
7. What would most compel a jury or mediator? What is the central injustice?
8. What lingered after the first meeting — and what is the most powerful thing about this case that a camera cannot easily capture?
Stream of consciousness
Anything that doesn't fit above — unfiltered impressions, fragments, phrases your client has said.
